Terms of service
The agreement between you and Pingio when you use the service.
Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using pingio.io you agree to these terms. If you accept them on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company.
2. The service
Pingio checks the targets you configure from several regions, records the results, opens incidents when failures are confirmed, and delivers notifications through the channels you connect. Features available to you depend on your plan.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may monitor only targets that you own or are authorised to monitor.
- Do not use Pingio to generate load against a third party, or as part of a denial-of-service attack.
- Do not set intervals that a target owner has asked you not to use.
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, probe our infrastructure, or resell raw access to the checking network.
- Do not upload unlawful content to status pages or incident notes.
5. Plans, billing, and renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Annual billing is charged for twelve months up front at a 30% discount. Invoices are issued automatically before each renewal.
If an invoice is not paid by the end of its grace period, the account is moved to the free plan and features beyond the free limits stop being available. Monitoring data is retained according to the free plan retention window.
6. Refunds and cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the billing section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and no further invoices are issued. Payments already made for a started period are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability and publish the health of the platform on our status page, but the service is provided without an availability guarantee unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue caused by an outage we did not detect.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts the platform or third parties at risk, or that remains unpaid after the grace period. Where the situation allows, we contact the account owner first.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
